Weddings 2022
In 2022, Weddings started in February and the season will extend until the Winter. We have more than 35 weddings planned, some postponed but many new brides and grooms who are impatient to celebrate the most beautiful day of their lives at Château Gassies.

Here is, in their own words, our Brides and Grooms' experience at Château Gassies.
We feel privileged that they chose Château Gassies to celebrate this very important day in their lives.
February winter wedding !

Le Château Gassies s’est révélé comme une évidence dès notre première visite pour accueillir notre mariage : un cadre somptueux, une décoration magnifique et une équipe de professionnels à l’écoute de nos besoins.
Nous souhaitions nous marier en hiver et nous recherchions un lieu chaleureux et luxueux pour organiser nos noces en cette période plutôt originale.
Le domaine est lumineux, extrêmement bien entretenu, la salle de réception est à couper le souffle, les miroirs et les lustres subliment les pierres et font de cette salle une attraction à part entière.
Géraldine et son équipe ont été très réceptifs à nos besoins, notamment notre souhait de voir fermer le préau Orangerie pour accueillir le cocktail de notre mariage : 130 personnes ont ainsi pu profiter du cocktail dans une atmosphère chaleureuse en plein mois de février. Les champignons chauffants couplés à un souffleur sont suffisants pour créer une température agréable. Je vous conseille la location des tonneaux, faisant office de petites tables, qui s’accordent parfaitement à l’espace.
Je dois dire que nous avons eu la chance de célébrer notre union sous un soleil d’hiver splendide et sous un ciel dégagé. Nous avons tous apprécié de pouvoir profiter à notre arrivée, juste après la messe, d’un premier accueil gourmand sur la terrasse du Château, jouissant d’une vue spectaculaire sur le parc et la Garonne.
Un mot sur les hébergements : la capacité est appréciable et la décoration de chaque chambre est réalisée avec beaucoup de goût et de subtilité. Nos invités ont tous apprécié leur séjour dans cet écrin luxueux, et particulièrement le petit déjeuner servi dans la douce Orangerie.
En conclusion, nous n’aurions pas pu imaginer un lieu différent pour célébrer notre union et nous garderons le souvenir précieux d’un mariage d’hiver absolument parfait au sein du Château Gassies, entourés de nos proches.
Un grand merci également à tous nos prestataires, pour la plupart directement conseillés par les équipes du Château Gassies, et dont la qualité du travail a été à la hauteur de nos grandes attentes.

The Château Gassies was an obvious choice for our wedding from the very first visit: a sumptuous setting, magnificent decoration and a team of professionals who listened to our needs.
We wanted to get married in winter and we were looking for a warm and luxurious place to organise our wedding in this original period.
The estate is bright, extremely well maintained, the reception room is breathtaking, the mirrors and chandeliers enhance the stonework and make the room an attraction in its own right.
Géraldine and her team were very receptive to our needs, in particular our wish to have the Orangery courtyard closed to accommodate our wedding cocktail party: 130 people were thus able to enjoy the cocktail party in a warm atmosphere in the middle of February.
The heated mushrooms coupled with a blower were sufficient to create a pleasant temperature.
I recommend renting the barrels, which act as small tables and fit perfectly in the space.
I must say that we were lucky enough to celebrate our union under a splendid winter sun and clear sky. We all appreciated the fact that we could enjoy a first gourmet welcome on the terrace of the Château, with a spectacular view of the park and the Garonne, just after the ceremony.
A word about the accommodation: the capacity is appreciable and the decoration of each room is done with great taste and subtlety. Our guests all enjoyed their stay in this luxurious setting, especially the breakfast served in the lovely Orangery.
In conclusion, we could not have imagined a different place to celebrate our union and we will keep the precious memory of an absolutely perfect winter wedding at Château Gassies, with our loved ones at our side.

A big thank you also to all our service providers, most of whom were directly advised by the Château Gassies teams, and whose work quality lived up to our high expectations.

Gassies is the most magical location to get married. From the well tended grounds and fountains to the beautiful antique mirrors and romantic chandeliers- its STUNNING.

Geraldine and her team helped us plan our wedding all the way from California, and didn't mind all my small detail questions. They were so accommodating to my guests who stayed on property as well. Even finding a bridesmaid a nail tech to come to the property to do her nails.
​
I can not thank the Gassies Team enough for helping us to throw such a stunning wedding that we, and all of our guests, will always remember!

Gassies est le lieu le plus magique pour se marier. Un parc et ses fontaines bien entretenu , en passant par les magnifiques miroirs anciens et les lustres romantiques, c'est magnifique.
​
Géraldine et son équipe nous ont aidés à organiser notre mariage depuis la Californie, et n'ont pas rechigné à répondre à toutes mes questions sur les petits détails.
Ils ont été très accommodants pour mes invités qui sont restés dans la propriété. Ils ont même trouvé une manucure au dernier moment pour une de me demoiselles d'honneur.

Je ne remercierai jamais assez l'équipe Gassies pour nous avoir aidés à organiser un mariage magnifique dont nous, et tous nos invités, nous souviendrons toujours !

Notre mariage reste gravé comme un souvenir inoubliable. Et encore aujourd'hui, 6 mois plus tard, des invités nous en reparlent ! Ce lieu magnifique a été un coup de coeur pour les invités venus de loin mais également pour les bordelais qui l ont découvert.

Votre accompagnement chaleureux et même quelques échanges plus personnels avec les propriétaires (cf le commentaire du début) ont apporté un vrai sentiment d authenticité et de simplicité dans un lieu si raffiné. C'est vraiment ce que nous retenons, du raffinement, de l élégance et de la précision sans chichis ni atmosphère guindée. Nous avons vécu un vrai rêve éveillé.
Our wedding remains an unforgettable memory.
And even today, 6 months later, some of our guests are still talking about it!
This magnificent venue was a favourite with guests who came from far away, but also with the people from Bordeaux who discovered it.
Your warm accompaniment and even some more personal exchanges with the owners (see the comment at the beginning) brought a real feeling of authenticity and simplicity in such a refined place. This is really what we remember, refinement, elegance and precision without fuss or stilted atmosphere.

We had our dream wedding at Chateau Gassies in August 2022. The venue is breath taking...our guests are still talking about it 2 months on!
Being from the UK and organising a wedding abroad, I cannot thank Geraldine enough for her help and support with our suppliers in the months leading up to the wedding. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and truly understood my vision.
It is clear how much care the owners have taken in this venue, the history and attention to detail throughout every space makes it all the more memorable and I am so grateful to the team on site for making those 5 days so special.
Nous avons eu notre mariage de rêve au Château Gassies en août 2022. Le lieu est à couper le souffle... nos invités en parlent encore deux mois plus tard !
Étant originaire du Royaume-Uni et organisant un mariage à l'étranger, je ne saurais trop remercier Géraldine pour son aide et son soutien auprès de nos fournisseurs dans les mois précédant le mariage. Elle s'est surpassée pour s'assurer que tout était parfait et a vraiment compris ma vision.
Il est clair que les propriétaires ont pris grand soin de ce lieu, l'histoire et l'attention portée aux détails dans chaque espace le rendent encore plus mémorable et je suis si reconnaissante à l'équipe sur place d'avoir rendu ces 5 jours si spéciaux.

Ces 3 jours au château Gassies à l’occasion de notre mariage furent un rêve éveillé du début à la fin. Les invités ont été enchantés par ce cadre idyllique, que ce soit l’extérieur pour le cocktail avec le magnifique Cèdre sublimé par le coucher de soleil, la majestueuse salle de réception ou le brunch au bord de la piscine. Tous nos invités qui ont logé sur place ont été ravis de leur séjour, les logements ont été aménagés avec beaucoup de goût. Bref, organiser son mariage au château Gassies s’est s’assuré d’avoir un lieu magnifique et pensé pour les mariages dans les moindres détails. Merci à la team château Gassies, en particulier Géraldine et Aurélie ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir à l’occasion de nos anniversaires de mariage :)

These 3 days at Château Gassies for our wedding were a daydream from start to finish. The guests were enchanted by the idyllic setting, whether it was outside for the cocktail party with the magnificent Cedar tree sublimated by the sunset, the majestic reception room or the brunch by the pool. All our guests who stayed at the chateau were delighted with their stay, the accommodation was very tastefully decorated. In short, organising your wedding at Château Gassies is to be sure of having a magnificent venue that has been thought out for weddings down to the smallest detail. Thank you to the Château Gassies team, especially Géraldine and Aurélie! We will gladly come back for our wedding anniversaries :)

"Après un temps d’inertie à se lancer dans l’organisation de notre mariage en pleine pandémie suite à nos fiançailles en décembre 2019, la découverte du château Gassies a été un soulagement. Ce lieu d’exception nous a conforté à entreprendre cette aventure.
Il s’agit d’un château magnifique, au calme, avec une très belle vue sur Bordeaux et qui permet de loger jusqu’à 40 personnes sur place dans des suites et des gîtes luxueux. Il offre de nombreuses possibilités pour le cocktail, le brunch, et nos invités se sont réjouis d’être accueillis dans un aussi bel endroit et de pouvoir profiter tout au long de ce weekend de la piscine, du spa, du parc…
