About Us
Château Gassies, built in 1775, is an exceptional 14 hectares estate overlooking the city of Bordeaux, from the hills of Latresne.
Château Gassies was a vineyard for many years, until the previous owner decided to stop its wine production.
When we bought the place a few years ago we immediately pictured this place as a unique wedding venue and luxury retreat.
With its 2 beautiful heated swimming pools, tennis court, quiet surroundings, and amazing views over Bordeaux, Château Gassies offers a wide range of activities, in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.
After four years of extensive renovation, Château Gassies now welcomes you in its six large and beautifully decorated "Bed and Breakfast" rooms, and its three large guest-houses (Gîtes), fit for a quiet week-end away, family vacations or for large family reunions.
The region has a lot to offer, from winery tours to exploring caves, or simply strolling in the cobble stoned streets of the beautiful cities of Bordeaux and St Emilion just a stone's throw away.
Bassin d'Arcachon and its mighty Dune du Pyla are just 50 km away, and a perfect destination for a day trip at the ocean, sailing, water-skiing or exploring Banc D'Arguins.
Château Gassies can also be privatised for special events such as weddings or family reunions.
